Hiiiii!!! I’m back with another tag!!! This one was created by the lovely Christine Smith and she ever so graciously tagged me before I stole it. XD Thanks Christine! ❤
I love the MCU movies and regularly rewatch them, in chonological order of course ;p, (speaking of which, my family and I had this huge Marvel movie marathon of allll the movies before we watched Endgame. It was awesome! :D) so of course I jumped at the chance to to a tag about them! More like tackled it and locked it in a choke-hold. Though, I erm, meant to get this post up months ago… *hides*
Please note that this post is FULL of Marvel spoilers. If you haven’t watched ANY of the movies, read no further, or, you know, at your own peril. 😉

GUIDELINES
(cause who needs rules?)
- Feel free to include the above graphic somewhere in your post (but it’s definitely not necessary).
- Take the questions and answer them on your blog (or social media or wherever!).
- Tag up to 5 other Marvel fans!
QUESTIONS
How were you introduced into the MCU fandom?
Haha, that’s actually a funny memory for me. We’ve owned the Toby Maguire Spider-Man trilogy for a long time but I didn’t quite understand what Marvel was at the time so that doesn’t count, my true introduction was back when Iron Man first came out on DVD. My Dad and older siblings were all excited to watch it and I really wanted to as well (not that I actually knew what the movie was about, but anyway). So, night’s coming on and they’re getting everything set up and I’m ready to sit down and watch this thing… when I’m sent to bed because apparently it’s an adult movie I was too young to watch… I can laugh now but then I was pretty mad and I sat at my bedroom door with my ear at the crack listening to the shouting and the sounds of glass breaking and thinking it sounded so cool and I wanted to watch it even more. I was able to watch the Spider-Man trilogy a year or so later. It wasn’t until I watched Captain America and then Thor that I was completely in love with this fandom.
What’s your favorite Marvel film?
<.< You understand that this is an impossible question, right? How am I supposed to choose among all the awesomeness? BRB while I go have an existential crisis… *distant wailing* Okay, I’m back. BlackPantherCaptainAmerica2&3Avengers1&2&3&4GuardiansoftheGalaxyThor2Spiderman. That was all one word so it counts. ;p Honestly it’s so hard to pick just one and I didn’t even list all the ones I wanted to.
Top favorite Marvel character?
Stan Lee.
Okay, okay, but come on, who doesn’t love those cameos?
For a true Marvel pick, umm… once again a ridiculously hard question… I love Tony, Steve, Nat, Clint, can I just list everyone? Avengers, Assemble! There’s also Peter, MJ, (I’m talking Tom Holland Spider-Man here) Jarvis, Groot. I simply cannot pick. Okay, fine. Bucky. Bucky will be named my top favourite if I am forced to name one. How can you not love him? He’s practically Steve’s older brother and sacrificed himself for Steve and then Hydra hijacked him and tortured him until he became a mindless killing machine. But then Steve saves him. I always tear up at “I’m with you to the end of the line.” while Bucky is, well, beating the daylights out of him. I don’t know what it says about me that the tortured softies are my favourites, but who cares. *throws fluffy teal boa over shoulder with a disdainful sniff* *hacks on loose feather and nearly chokes*
If you were transported into the MCU and had to trade places with one of the superheroes, who would you choose?
Eheheheh… If I did that, I’d be the one to die within the first few minutes, you know, the pointless death, not even the one to spur on the heroes, just the unlucky sap who gets squished or something in the background. Hmm, how bout Jarvis? Up until Ultron, he’s pretty safe and actually gets to hang out with almost all of the heroes. But then he sort of round aboutly turns into Vision and we all know what happens to Vision. *sobs* Maybe I should go with Wanda? Her powers are pretty awesome.
What are some of your favorite quotes from the films?

I actually love that whole scene.

I literally could do this all day, but I’ll stop here.
Which crew would you want to be part of the most: Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, or Revengers?
Avengers. No doubt about it. But the other two are great as well. ^_^ I just really want to hang out with that group. Plus, eventually everyone meets up with the Avengers anyway. 😉
Favorite and least favorite ship?
Favourite ship? Can we add an s to that? I have many ships. Practically every couple I ship. Wanda and Vision are adorable, Tony and Pepper are fun, and Steve and Peggy are so sweet, and Thor and Jane should never have broken up! Okay, here’s my favourite ship and it will look like I just unshipped one of the above, but here we go. I completely and utterly ship Steve and Nat. There I said it. Please don’t unfriend me. I just love their relationship and it’s just, *sigh*. I’m really glad he got a second chance with Peggy, but it just, I don’t know. There were several things that just confuse me about that whole situation and will take up an entire blog post for me to get it all out.
Least favourite ship? I don’t think I have a least favourite. I like them all. XD
Favorite and least favorite villain?
Fav villain would definitely be Loki. I don’t excuse all the bad things he did, he should answer for his crimes, but come on, how can you not love his sass? All his snarky comments? I purposely excluded him from favourite quotes because I would have been there ALL DAY finding just Loki quotes.
Least favourite. Hmm, let me think… THANOS!!!! Hate him is more like it. Hate. hate. hate. Did I mention I hate him?
Unpopular MCU opinion?
Oh, haha, I think I already answered this, maybe? Is shipping Nat and Steve unpopular? Just in case it’s not, here’s another one. I kind of wish Steve hadn’t gone back in time? Again, please don’t unfriend me. XD Like I said, that whole situation brought up SO many questions and I still haven’t had enough time to come to grips with that whole situation. Also, I really wanted some more Steve, Sam, and Bucky scenes. I mean, come on, those three are such brother-type friends and I just love that trio and then it gets broken up? Not cool, man, so not cool.
What’s your favorite Stan Lee cameo scene?
Ack!!! Why must these questions be so hard? Ugh. XD Okay, lets go with either him cutting Thor’s hair or “Tony Stank”. XD The one that I really wanted to see was Stan Lee lift Thor’s hammer offhandedly or something, like if he was cleaning up after a fight scene and the hammer had to be moved and he just did it and put it back down. No one the wiser. XD Also, can I give a shout-out to his cameos in Big Hero 6 and the series? Boss Awesome is indeed awesome. 😀 And the picture below is also the cameo I really, really wanted.

I just really like that quote and had to include it somewhere. 🙂
I tag…

YOU DID THE TAG! YOU DID THE TAG!!! And okay but this was the MOST delightful thing to read and I was grinning all the way through! Your Marvel origin story is honestly so adorable. Though I, too, would have been so upset about being sent to bed, but it definitely sounds like something fun to laugh at now! XD
I am CACKLING at your listing your favorite movies all as one word. It was cruel of me to ask such an impossible question. Even I don’t have a single favorite. THERE’S JUST TOO MANY GOOD ONES. *flails*
Stan Lee is a GREAT pick for favorite character. He’s really the only character who matters. *nods solemnly* (BUT ALSO YES TO ANOTHER BUCKY FAN. MAH BOY! *SOBS*)
Oooh, Steve and Nat as a ship. INTERESTING. Though I am a hardcore StevexPeggy shipper as you probably know, I could see Steve and Nat being a thing. Although, honestly, I thought it was so refreshing having a girl-boy platonic relationship in the mix. I really see them as teasing siblings, which I LOVED. You just don’t get those kind of dynamics in fiction much anymore.
The Big Hero 6 Stan Lee cameo WAS. THE. BESSST!!! And, oh man, I’ve seen people talk about those other potential cameos you mentioned and just WHY DID THEY NOT DO THEM??? That would have been amazing. But still, we got so much epic cameos. Truly the best parts of the films. *sniffles*
Thank you so much for joining in the tag! I loved seeing your answers SO MUCH! 😀 (And no, I am not over Endgame. I will never ever ever recover. *collapses*)

EEEEE!!! YES! I DID THE TAG!!! 😀 Thank you so much!!! Hehe, thanks! I was so mad, but I definitely laugh about it now. XD
*evil grin* I just could not bring myself to name a single movie. SO hard. Basically ALL of them are so good and I wanted to just name the whole franchise! XD *flails with you*
YES HE IS! Without him, none of the other characters would exist, especially Spidey. ^_^ (*high-fives* BUCKY FANS FOR THE WIN!!! *sobs*)
I also loved Steve and Nat’s sibling relationship and it *was* so refreshing having girl-boy platonic, but I thought they were leading up to Steve and Nat being a thing once the whole NatxClint and NatxBruce fell through and they were already basically the mom and dad of the Avengers. 😉 Anyway, I still LOVE that Steve got to be with Peggy again. ^_^ (I just can’t think too hard on all the questions I have… XD) We definitely need more teasing sibling platonic girl-boy relationships in fiction. Not *every* friendship has to end up as a romance. 🙂
YES IT WAS!!!! *happy squeal* I KNOW! WHY??? *sobs* Yes, so many epic cameos! I always looked forward to his part of the movie. :’)
I absolutely LOVED doing the tag! Thank you so much for creating it!!! <333 (Will we ever recover? *collapses on top of you* XP)

Wait, what? I thought Nat and Clint were best friends, almost siblings, and were not at all romantic in any form (definitely before we knew he had a family). Did I missed that vibe or something?

Lol, I guess they were more friends/siblings but I was so shipping them right up till I learned about Clint’s family. They just had this adorable relationship that I felt could have been more. 😉

Fair enough. I just didn’t see it. And anyway, I think they are cuter as best friends/siblings than something more.

I’ve only watched the first of Toby Maguire’s Spiderman movies, so I’m definitely not an expert on Marvel, but this was great to read! I looked up Shuri’s “For research purposes”. Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious, and probably similar to something every younger sibling has done (my little sister will put her icy hands on my neck so I can “tell her if they’re cold or not”).

I still love Toby Maguire’s Spiderman, I just love Tom Holland’s more. XD Thank you!!! ❤ I know! It was so funny and one of my favourite parts of the whole movie! Shuri and T'Chala are hilarious and the perfect siblings. ^_^ (*shudders* my siblings do that all the time! Especially if we're reaching for something and our shirt rides up. XD)

Jen!! Ahh I love the MCU very much as well though I have yet to watch all of the movies. Indeed, picking a fav is quite impossible, I liked your tactic! For me, it would be all the group movies. THOSE QUOTES. GROOT. 😍 You got me so excited, lovely answers!! ✨

AHHHH!!! Yay! ^_^ MCU is one of my all-time favourite fandoms. 😀 Picking just one movie out of all of them is extremely hard. ;p Hehe, thanks! ;D Oooh! Yes! MCU is SO quotable! I could really have done more, which is why I left Loki out. XD GROOT!!! <333 ^_^ (I like how we don't have to explain our love for Groot. ;D) Awww, yay!!! Thank you so much! ❤ ^_^

Oooh, a Marvel tag? That’s awesome!! XD Thank you for opening it up to “any” blogger, I just might have to do it on my own blog! 😉
I love your responses!! Those quotes are awesome!! I love the “get help” scene, too, from Thor: Ragnarok. 😉 My favorite MCU movie is probably Thor: Ragnarok because I found it so funny, and I like that it kind of redeemed Loki’s character (only to have it completely undone later…. I’ll be curious to see how the Disney+ series about him goes).
Haha, that’s funny…. those were the first Marvel movies I watched (in that order, too)! 😂 I watched the new Spider-Man (let me say, though, the amount of language in that movie is terrible, nearly made me want to not watch any of the other Marvel movies), then the original Spider-Man trilogy, then Captain America: The First Avenger, then Thor! 🤣

Marvel is GREAT!!! You are so welcome! Oooh! Yay! I hope you do it! 😀 Awww, thanks! It was so fun answering the questions. 😀 “Get help” is one of my favourite scenes from the whole MCU franchise! ^_^ Ragnarok was pretty funny! And I loved how they redeemed Loki’s character. (Oh, boy, I am still very sore about what happened to Loki… >.< XD Oooh, yes! I really wish we had Disney+ so I could watch that series… along with all the other wonderful things on Disney+.)
Oh! LOL! That's so cool! (Yeah, I adore these movies, but I don't like the language and content. Thankfully not all of them have the same amount of language.)

Such a fun tag!
I totally shipped Steve and Nat as well. My other unpopular opinion is that I really wanted Nat to somehow get brought back to life. Because SAD!!!!
Also, I have a hard time ever wanting to watch End Game again because I hate what they did to Thor. My FAVORITE character being turned into a drunken buffoon is… difficult to watch… to put it mildly. Also, I hate Captain Marvel. HATE HATE HATE, DOUBLE HATE… LOATHE ENTIRELY. (I have no opinions on this at all).
Reading your answers made me want to revisit my own answers (as I did this tag right after End Game came out). This was a fun one to answer. More tags should be like this one. *nods* https://www.jenelleschmidt.com/blog/the-mcu-tag

Yes it is! Christine asked such good questions, hard, but good. 😀
AH YES! Another Steve and Nat shipper! *glomps you* Yes yes yes!!! I wanted Nat to come back so much!!! I don’t know what’s worse, Loki dying in the first five minutes, or Nat never coming back. *sobs*
Oooh, yeah, I hated what they did to Thor too. It seemed like he changed drastically in Ragnarok and then he kept changing from what I thought his character was from the beginning. I get character growth and all that, but this seemed more like growing idiocy. Yes, Thor has his “moments” but he’s not supposed to act stupid all the time. It was very difficult to watch. I haven’t watched that movie, but is that a live-action Grinch reference? Sorry, that was random. XP I like her, but I can see why other’s would not. She seems to be the kind of character you either love or hate. 😉
Oh yay! Oooh! You did it too? Cool! We should definitely have more tags like this one. *grins and scurries off to read your post*

I don’t hate or love Captain Marvel. She is just meh to me. I’m hoping that she will have way more character growth in the future, cause that will make her a much more interesting character than she is now. I think of her as the female Iron Man version who really needs to fall and get some humility.

Okay, I guess I spoke to soon on that, lol. It’s just the vibe she gave me. Yeah! I can so see her as a female Iron Man type character. She is a bit cocky, lol. XD

Comments on answers:
1. To me, Captain America and Black Widow (Nat) are just friends. Personally I didn’t see them being more than friends, but I can also see why you think they should have been together.
2. You just unshipped three ships, you know. Captain America had two women he was with and Black Widow had Bruce Banner, who both had feelings for each other until the end. A probably big reason why Captain America and Black Widow were never a thing. They already had other people who they still had feelings for and stuff.
3. I actually love Captain America’s story ended. It was really sweet and a good way to get Captain America out of the picture, which I think is the one of main reasons why that happened. Was it the best choice ever? Probably not, but I was happy with it and I just love him and Peggy being together. I love it so much.

Those are all great thoughts. 🙂 I never really liked Steve and Sharon as a ship, Sharon is a GREAT character, but she’s also Peggy’s niece and it was just weird. And even though I liked Bruce and Nat and thought they were adorable together, I just felt, especially after Winter Soldier, that Nat and Steve were supposed to be a thing. Not to discredit their feelings for the others. 😉
Yeah, I probably have a lot of unpopular Marvel opinions. XD But that’s great you loved how his story ended! I do love that he got to be with Peggy again, I just have personal issues with the whole time-travel thing. 😉
Thank you so much for commenting and sharing your thoughts! I loved hearing your viewpoint. ^_^ ❤

Yes, I didn’t like him being with Sharon. It was pretty weird.
Yeah, fair, I can see that, they definitely acted like they are becoming a couple, but since Winter Soldier was before Age of Ultron, where she and Bruce became a thing, I honestly didn’t think they were meant to be a thing. Clearly they wanted him and Sharon being a thing from the beginning. Who knows, maybe they started the whole Nat and Bruce thing to clear up any confusion?
Just curious, why do you dislike time-traveling?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I was okay with it, right up until I found out she was Peggy’s niece. Just no. Too weird.
They probably did start the Nat and Bruce thing to clear some things up, because some people thought it was Nat/Clint and others thought it was Nat/Steve, but then Clint’s family comes in and Sharon is a possibility for Steve, so I guess they felt they needed to stick Nat with someone. I do think she and Bruce were cute. ^_^
Oh! I don’t *dislike* time-traveling. Not at all! It’s just this particular incident that I’m having trouble with. I normally LOVE a good time-travel story. (I love the movie Timeline and it’s all about time-travel.) It’s just how they set up the time-traveling, what The Ancient One said the rules were, how nothing done in the past could change the future, and then Steve still went back in time and I just don’t see how he could *not* do things to try and save people and try to prevent bad things from happening. “Captain America” was still frozen so Steve would have to pretend to be someone else or something and not draw attention to himself. I am probably not making a lot of sense, maybe I will have to do a blog post or something on my thoughts on this. Anyway, I do like time-travel, I just have issues with Steve going back in time with what the rules are and what I feel his character is and what he would try to do. 🙂

Ah, I see. I understand that. To be honest, time traveling is always a little tricky to be not inconsistent and the creators probably broke the rules just so that they can have that scene happen. And, yeah, I’ve heard people are upset that he did a selfish cause Captain America would never do a selfish thing, but to me that is what makes that scene so good cause he did a selfish thing for once in his life and it seems like a very mature thing to do. Endgame seemed to hint at how he was getting a bit tired of always being the good superhero all of the time. And while I don’t agree to the moral side of things (it is a superhero film and they are pretty complicated when it comes to morals but I still see that choice is a bit immortal, especially considering how Captain America always painted himself to be), but I still love it because it is strangely relatable. And I imagine he will regret it sometimes, but generally he seems truly happy for once. If I’m being honest, Captain America hasn’t experienced true joy for a long time, and so it is nice to see that he can have that happiness again. But no one has to like it. Anyone can be allowed to feel that the Captain America they knew has been betrayed. Cause, to be honest, it was a bit of a betrayal who Captain America is. Steve Rogers betrayed who he made himself to be for just to be happy. So, yeah, people are 100% allowed to be upset at that ending for Captain America and the ending for Black Widow/Nat. The arguments are all justified.

Time travel IS tricky! I do love that scene, but like you said, it just felt so against his character. He even said in Civil War that when he sees a situation going south he can’t ignore it, and yet he’d have so many situations to ignore and it just makes my brain hurt trying to think of all that. I do understand that he was getting tired, he’s fought for so long and he missed the life he should have lived if it weren’t for Hydra. Steve does deserve to be happy and, again, I’m so glad he got a second chance with Peggy. Exactly! It did kind of feel like a betrayal to who Captain America is and what he stands for, but Steve Rogers deserved a, well, happily-ever-after 😉 I just have lots and lots of questions. And oooh, don’t get me started on why Nat shouldn’t have died. I am still mad about that. ;p Her and Gamorrah shouldn’t have died, and I’m still unsure about the whole “other Gamorrah” and now she doesn’t remember all that happened and… I have a lot of thoughts on lots of things about the developments in Marvel over the last few movies. Agreed, people are free to like or dislike things about movies and such, that’s what’s great about them, they’re all subjective and you can like or not like them and as long as you don’t bash the other viewpoint it’s all good. 😉
