The Disney Prince Book Tag

Allison’s Well

This delightful tag was created by Allison Tebo. She generously tagged anyone who wanted to do the tag, so I snatched it up. Now on to the rules!

THE RULES:

# 1.  Use the prompts

# 2.  Mention the creator of the tag and link back to the original post.

# 3.  Highlight your favorite male characters.

# 4. Let me know when you do this tag!

THE PROMPTS:

PRINCE FLORIAN – A Character Who Stumbles Into Things.

Farid, from the Inkworld series by Cornelia Funke, is the one who always gets into trouble, especially when Dustfinger isn’t there to save his tail.

PRINCE CHARMING – A Character Who Looks Past The Exterior Of Those Around Him.

Aslan from The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. Okay, this is kind of cheating, but I couldn’t think of anyone else who could go here that would be better suited.

PRINCE PHILLIP – A Character Who Fights For Those He Cares About.

Roran from The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. He will go to the ends of the earth for those he loves, and he will fight until there is no more breath left in him.

PRINCE ERIC – A Character Who Fulfills The “Dreamy Soft Boy” Trope.

Eragon from The Inheritance Cycle. He is definitely a dreamer who has a big heart. He tries to act the part of a Dragon Rider but deep down, all he wants is to live in peace with those he loves safe at his side.

THE BEAST – A Beastly Character Who Is Redeemed.

Murtagh also from The Inheritance Cycle (I’m sensing a pattern here). I can’t say too much for spoilers, but his character arc is one of my favorites because it’s so real. It didn’t happen because the protagonist simply asked him to be good, it happened because Murtagh himself grew and changed.

ALADDIN – A Character Who Assumes A False Identity.

Mortimer “Mo” Folchart from the Inkworld series. The Bluejay is one of my favorite Robin Hood characters.

JOHN SMITH – A Character Who Loves To Explore.

Starflight from the Wings of Fire series by Tui T. Sutherland. Granted he likes to explore through books and scrolls, but still, I think he counts. 🙂

LI SHANG – A  Character Who Is A Tough, Military Leader.

Ajihad leader of the Varden from The Inheritance Cycle. I’d really like to put Nasuada in this category, but this tag is for the guys and Ajihad is truly a great military leader.

FLYNN RYDER –  A Character Who Is A Scoundrel With A Heart Of Gold.

Finnick O’dair from Catching Fire/Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. He’s portrayed as quite the scoundrel, having captivated the hearts of countless Capital women and shamelessly flirts with Katniss. But then we find out about Annie. The poor girl who was so traumatized by her Games, she went a little crazy, and she’s the love of his life. And how he was so concerned for Mags and Joanna. Despite his flamboyant attitude, he’s just as broken as the rest of the Victors.

PRINCE NAVEEN –  A Character Who Undergoes A Transformation.

Dustfinger from the Inkworld series. I can’t say too much because of spoilers, but he definitely underwent a transformation.

KRISTOFF –   A Character Who Is A Down-To-Earth Hero.

Samwise Gamgee The Brave. He never set out to be a hero, but his never failing loyalty to Frodo and his friends showed just how great a hero he is, plus he gardens, you can’t really get more down to earth than that! XD All jokes aside, Sam truly does belong in this category.

EMPEROR KUZCO – A Character Who’s Obnoxious But Still Lovable.

Fegnolio from the Inkworld series. He is obnoxious and a bit full of himself, but the way he interacts with Meggie you can’t help but love him.

There are no rules saying I have to tag anyone, so I will tag you! If you are reading this and want to do it go right ahead, but if you do it please let me know, I’d love to read your post! Or you could answer what questions you fancy down in the comments!

  1. CLEARLY I need to read the Inheritance Cycle AND the Inkworld books! Well, I read the first two Inheritance Cycle books yeeeeeeeears ago, but I never finished the series and remember next to nothing about them because my memory is useless. XD AND when I was much, much younger I tried Inkheart from the library, but wasn’t getting too into it and took it back before I finished it. But now that I’m older I really want to get it a proper try! And then I can flail over these characters with you, because they all sound amazing! 😀

But ALLLLL the yes to Aslan, Finnick and Sam! Some of the best EVER. Finnick is my FAVORITE character from THG and just… *sobs* He was the best.

    1. YES YES YES!!! I need a flailing partner!!! XD

Finnick was one of the few characters I actually cried over instead of just feeling like my heart got torn out and trampled. I still had that feeling, it was just accompanied with tears.

  2. YAY!!! Thank you so much for doing this tag, Jen! I’m glad you had fun. Wow, so many characters from Inkworld. I’m familiar with the book but, I’m afraid to say, I’ve never read it! Clearly, I need to remedy this!

    1. You’re welcome! I had a blast! 😀 Thanks for reading it. ❤

I am a tad obsessed with Inkworld. You should definitely read the books! I've reread the series at least five times, counting the times I listened to the audiobooks. ^_^

  3. I know I read Inkheart and maybe Inkspell, I do know I didn’t finish the series. I didn’t like the twists and turns. I don’t remember Dustfinger’s transformation, I read it like 10+ years ago.

Same with Eragon (I think I only read one and skimmed 2 maybe). Murtagh was the only character I really liked.

    1. That’s okay, I understand both series’ aren’t for every one. 😉 Murtagh was a GREAT character and quite possibly my favorite. ❤ Thanks for reading my post! ^_^
